absentee. After registering for an absentee ballot her friend recieved an anonymous phone call from a native English
speaker who told him that he could vote party line and that if he supported
Kerry he should check the top line, and if he supported Bush he should check
the bottom one. In fact, the top line is Republican and bottom is Democrat.
Voter told his friend about this call and she was able to make sure that the
voter chose the party he actuall supported. She
reports that other Laotian friends have been having some trouble. For
example, her friend's son, who is in the Air Force said he would vote for
Bush in her name. The caller did not want to give me information about the
identities of her friends. |
