note:  the closest AFB with jets to New York is McGuire AFB in NY, Andrews in Washington DC is next closest. but General Richard Myers claims that only 2 AFB in northeast region had jets on ready due to large cutbacks in budget(Otis in Mass. and Langley in Maryland)  

 

Contradictions with evidence:

 

 

1.     NORAD employee Lt. Colonel Dawne Deskins later says that Boston flight control notifies NORAD of Flight 77's hijacking at 8:31 am, not at 8:40 as has been widely reported .        Another later report states, "Shortly after 8:30 a.m., behind the scenes, word of a possible hijacking [reaches] various stations of NORAD." [ABC News, 9/14/02] If Deskins' most recent account is right, Boston flight controllers wait about 10 minutes after they are sure Flight 11 was hijacked before notifying NORAD.     Deskins later says that initially she and "everybody" else at NEADS thought the call was part of the Vigilant Guardian war games exercise. After the phone call she had to clarify to everyone that it was not a drill. [Newhouse News, 1/25/02]                        (Timeline, Paul Thompson)

2.     In interviews on 9/13/01, General Myers and Mike Snyder(NORAD) both said that jets were not scrambled by the military until the Pentagon was hit.  This is in contradiction to the 9/11 Commission Report timeline.  This is also supported by testimony by N Y Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, who said that at 9:58 he telephoned the White House and talked to Chris Henick, the president’s deputy political director.  Henick said that jets had been dispatched to N Y at 9:46 AM.   [but this consistent early version of military response appears to imply a military stand down, so the Commission revision appears to be an attempt to alleviate this impression.]  

3.     Matthew Wald, N Y Times, 9-15-01, “By 9:25 the FAA in consultation with the Pentagon, had taken the radical step of banning all takeoffs around the country, but fighters had still not been dispatched “   ( so this supports the Myers, Snyder statements)

4.     Gen. Richard Myers and Major General Larry Arnold (NORAD) when asked about why no jets were scrambled to intercept the planes that hit buildings, both said that there were no planes on ready alert at Andrews AFB or Myers AFB.   They said that there are only 2 bases in the entire NE Region with planes on alert(Otis AFB in Massachusetts and Langley AFB in Maryland, due to major budget cutbacks)   This appears to be untrue according to a large body of evidence.  Andrews AFB is said to be the main air defense for the capital and Pentagon complex and houses Air Force One.  The Military web site on 9/11 said that Andrews serves to defend the capital complex and had 3 squadrons of planes on alert, one being the DC Air National Guard squadron(DCANG).  These planes have been scrambled in the past and can be in the air in about 2 minutes and travel at 30 miles per minute.  Also contradicting this are statements by General Myers and Mike Snyder(NORAD)  that NORAD was not notified about the plane that hit the Pentagon but that jets from Andrews AFB were scrambled immediately after the Pentagon was hit. This was confirmed by Richard Clark, National Security Coordinator, and news reports from Washington based news agencies. Later when Donald Arias, Chief of Public Affairs of NORAD, was asked whether jets were kept on ready at Andrews, he refused to answer.  Immediately after 9/11, the military web site was changed to deemphasize Andrews AFB and delete references to Andrews capabilities.

5.     According to the 9/11 Commission report statements and guidelines, The FAA flight controllers and supervisors violated the published FAA standard operating procedures regarding reporting suspected hijack situations to NMCC/NORAD, by not reporting when radio contact was lost and transponder off at 8:14 and again when there was a route change at 8:20.   Yet apparently no one was reprimanded or punished for this major breach of SOP.

6.     Journalist Tom Flocco reported in 2003 that Laura Brown of FAA said that a phone bridge between the FAA and Charles Leidig of NMCC had begun between 8:20 and 8:25 after Fl 11 was known to be hijacked.  This conference call was begun as a significant incident call after Fl 11 was hijacked but was upgraded later to an air threat call dealing with all “planes of interest”.  A source at the Dept. of Transportation confirmed the 8:25 time period for the bridge call between NORAD, Secret Service, DOD, and DOT. 

[Later after controversy and a conversation with her supervisors, Laura Brown emailed that she wanted to revise her time estimate of the start of the earlier bridge call from 8:20 to 8:45.

Tom Flocco stated his opinion that after talking to several parties, he is convinced the call started at the earlier time]  If this is true, then the NMCC/NORAD/911 Commission statements about when NMCC/NORAD were contacted are not true. This version is supported by other statements and testimony.  

7.     If the call by NEADS commander Col Marr to Gen. Arnold was made and wasted 8 minutes, it was unnecessary and unreasonable in the circumstances- resulting in allowing the north tower to be hit.  Under questioning later, Gen Arnold admitted that the call up the chain of command is not a necessary or usual step to scramble jets.

8.     The 9/11 Commission report further indicated that the 8 minutes lost by the alleged 8 minute call to Gen Arnold would not have made a difference in results since the plane had turned off its transponder so that NEADS radar could not find the plane.  But this is rather absurd, since that would mean that all an enemy plane would have to do to defeat the U.S. defense system is to not turn on its transponder.  And it is known that the Pentagon has some of the worlds most advanced radar equipment and was monitoring the hijacked flights.  The Pentagon web site indicates that it has access to the PAVE PAWS radar which is capable of monitoring many planes or missiles simultaneously, and the White House has continuous links to the FAA.

9.     According to the 9/11 Commission Timeline, the U.S. Transportation Secretary, Norman Mineta, who was at the White House with Vice President Cheney, had enough reports to ground all civilian airplanes in the U.S. at about 9:25 AM,  before the first military jet was scrambled and before the Pentagon was hit.  This is the first time in

history this step was taken.

 

 

10. There were at least 2 versions of the Fl 11 flight leaving from 2 different gates at Logan Airport, with official reports and  an obvious cover-up of what happened to the various flights and which hit WTC1.   There is evidence from the Boston airport that the passengers registered for flight 11 were not on the plane that left from Gate 32 at Logan airport at 7:45 and was tracked by the FAA.  At least 2 passengers and 1 flight attendant, Amy Sweeney, called relatives to tell them their flight had been delayed.     The air force scrambled jets to intercept a version of Flight 11 heading toward D.C.                  http://911wideopen.com/mirror/twin11-1/twin-11-mod.htm

Questions/contradictions the 9/11 Comm. Report did not attempt to resolve

1.     contradiction of Commission time line/statement versus statements of Gen. Myers and Mike Snyder regarding when NORAD was notified and jets were scrambled.

2.     contradictions of Gen. Myers and Gen. Arnold’s statements that no planes were on alert at Andrews AFB or McGuire AFB with a large body of contrary information.

3.     Failure to assess why the military was unable to scramble jets and stop the attack given that the normal response time after the notification was sufficient to have a chance of stopping the attack. And why there was confusion as to whether calls up and down a chain of command that takes considerable time was necessary?

4.     Report held military blameless and put all blame for failure to stop the attack on incompetence and failure to follow guidelines by the FAA resulting in not reporting the hijacking until it was too late to respond.  However there was no attempt to find out why the FAA failed to follow guidelines and failed to report the hijacking to NORAD.  Or why no one was disciplined at the FAA due to the failure to follow guidelines.

5.     failure to address whether Andrews AFB and McGuire AFB had planes on alert on 9/11 given the large body of evidence that they do, in contradiction to statements by Gen Myers and Gen Arnold.  

6.     Failure to confront the absurd information in the Commission Report alleging that the NEADS radar was incapable of monitoring the planes because the transponders were off.

 

Contradictions in Official Story of Flight11/WTC1 based on Physical Evidence

Which plane hit WTC1?

 

The Pentagon and military were having war games involving 9/11 type events going on at the same time as the actual “hijackings”.  There was confusion both among authorities and the media as to which of the planes was a real threat and which were war games planes, as confirmed by NORAD spokesmen in 9/11 Hearing testimony. (I)   The public was not generally informed by the media about the degree of confusion among authorities and the media about which plane went where and what happened on 9/11.

 

According to the U.S. Bureau of Transportation flight reporting system(BTS),  neither Flight 11 nor Flight 77 were reported by American Airlines as scheduled to fly on 9/11.    But official records at Boston Logan Airport and Media reports show two Flight 11 flights  scheduled at Logan on the morning of 9/11. (II)

The one with the most documentation in Sept. 2001 was out of gate 26, which also has been verified as where the passengers on the flight list were waiting that morning.(II)   But the version of Flight 11 that was tracked by the FAA leaving Boston on 9/11 was out of Gate 32 and Gate 32 is officially used by the 9/11 Commission in its report as pulling away from the gate at 7:45 and taking off at 7:59.    But the passengers waiting at Gate 26 were told their flight had been delayed and 2 passengers and a flight attendant(Amy Sweeney) called relatives to tell them their flight was delayed.    There is no record of the Flight 11 boarding at Gate 26 leaving Boston or of what happened to the passengers. Reporters followed up by questioning workers at the air port and confirmed passengers were waiting at Gate 26 on 9/11. 

 But there is more about Flight 11 in official reports that might explain what happened to the other Flight 11.     A flight record using FAA radar records shows that Flight 77 out of Newark that is officially considered to have hit the Pentagon could not have hit the Pentagon. (V)  Flight 77 was tracked on radar from Newark, N.J. to the Kansas border.   From Kansas City to Washington, DC is about 1040 miles.  At 500 mph the trip would take 2 hours.   But to get to Washington  D.,C. in time to hit the Pentagon it would have had to get there in from 30 to 40 minutes. The version of Flight 11 tracked from Gate 32 to New York was reported to crash into the WTC North Tower at 8:46 AM.  But at 9:12 the FAA reported that Flight 11 was traveling towards Washington D.C. and jets from Langley AFB were scrambled at 9:25 to intercept Flight 11.    The intercept was unsuccessful for some reason and a plane hit the Pentagon at 9:38 AM (some reports have it at 9:43)  If any of the 9/11 Flights hit the Pentagon it appears the flight would have had to be either AA Flight 11 or UA Flight 175 out of Boston.   However there was a lot of confusion among authorities and reporters regarding what was going on that morning due to the fact that the plane transponders were turned off or jammed, the planes made diversions to meet up with each other and visited areas near airports and at the boundary between 2 FAA ATC regions, and the Pentagon and military had war games involving 9/11 type events going on at the same time as the actual “hijackings”. There has been a failure by the Administration to clear up the confusion since airplane parts at the sites have not been made available to the public or media to confirm which planes hit which targets. 

 

There is considerable evidence that the WTC towers were destroyed by controlled demolition.(I)  Steel framed buildings have never before or since been caused to collapse by airplane impacts or fires.  And there is strong evidence supporting massive explosions in the towers, with statements by firefighters, building engineers, janitors, and others who said they heard and saw explosions.  The degree of pulverization of the solids in the buildings and outward forceful expulsion of unusually fine powder also is consistent with explosives.  And the collapses of WTC1, WTC2 and WTC7 were all consistent with the characteristics of controlled demolition, with implosion and rapid collapse.  Also the splintering of the massive steel beams and the molten metal and hot temperatures in the building debris for over 2 months also does not appear consistent with gravity related damage or gasoline related fires since the gasoline fires lasted less than 10 minutes and the fires in WTC2 were never very large or hot. (III)

 

There has also been a major effort to suppress virtually all evidence of what really happened at the World Trade Center through failure to publicly release the flight recorder information or evidence of plane parts,  rapid contracting for removal of steel beams and other evidence without giving independent investigators access to the evidence, gag orders on firefighters, etc.  There has also been a major effort to cover up the large number of warnings, many very explicit of 9/11 type events in the fall of 2001 amd the large number of explicit warnings given to the FAA and airlines prior to 9/11.  (IV)
