Machine problem |
North Clayton Middle School, 5517 W. Fayetteville Rd, College
Park, GA 30349, College Park, Clayton County, Georgia |
Upon filling out her ballot (on touch-screen system), voter
selected "Kerry" as part of a straight-Democrat ticket, but it
displayed "Bush" instead. She called poll worker over to look at
it, who reset her ballot and had her re-do it entirely. This was successful.
Upon hearing her make a commotion in line about it, another voter ahead of
her reported the same problem. |

Received a card recently that her location was Pt. South. Went
there and waited in long for two hours only to be told that they didn't send
notices but her location has been changed to Kendrix.
She went to Kendrix and while in line heard that
she needed to go to Callaway Headquarters. She does not have time to vote
because she has to go now to pick up her grandchildren at daycare. She is
very angry that they sent out a notice of location that was either wrong or
was changed and never sent out notices with the changes. They could have put
a sign up or something so she would have found out that Pt. South was the
wrong location before she waited in line for 2 hours. |

We have a concern about the Clayton Co. Police Officer afternoon
shift. He has parked his police vehicle in the parking lot right at the
entrance. The car is not blocking access, his car is right in line with voters cars, but his car is in the space marked by lines
on the asphalt as no parking. It is the space for pedestrians or people who
have parked in the lot to enter the building. The officer is not sitting in
his car, he is inside the voting room, standing next
to the poll workers facing the voters in the booth. His car is not difficult
to get past, but it is in a different location from the morning shift. The
morning shift officer parked his car off to the side of the parking lot. We
don't observe, nor get a feeling for any overt intimidation but we were
advised to complete this report on our observations. The morning shift
officer greeted us shortly before |
