Other polling place problem

S. Brevard, Brevard County, Florida

Issue: Voter misinformation: A hanging-door-knob-tag was left on the voter's door and several other neighboring doors, incorrectly stating that the polling place had changed. The tag stated: "This Tuesday, November 2, is the day we change America. You vote here: Precinct 152, Brevard, First Baptist Church, S. Brevard, 4300 N. Wicham Road. For a ride to the polls or information call" [then 6 different Florida telephone numbers were listed, beginning with Jacksonville: 904 598-1401. Orlando, Jacksonville, etc., but none were in Brevard.] The tag said to call 1-866 866-8683. Said to please bring picture ID with you to the polls." It was sponsored by Act America Coming Together Florida." Their only complaint is that the precinct listed was wrong. [P]

Registration-related problem

Brevard County, Florida

Mr. Jacques and Ms Bonoparte complained that Reginald had registered as a Democrat to vote six months ago. He received his voter card as registered Democrat. Six months later he received another card identifying him as a Republican. Jacques and Bonoparte were concerned that Reginald could not vote for a Democrat in the general election if he was registered as a Republican and that the second card was part of an election fraud.
